The Digital Nomad Visa application has started in Turkey.
Applications for the Turkey Digital Nomad Identification Document can be made through the Go Turkey website, which is specially designed for digital nomads. Foreigners who receive this document gain the right to apply for the Digital Nomad Visa. In addition, digital nomads in Turkey can easily access their own residence permit thanks to this document. All these transactions are carried out through the online platform.
The requirements for those who want to get a Digital Nomad Identification Certificate are as follows:
Being between the ages of 21-55
A passport valid for at least 6 months
A university diploma or equivalent document
Documents proving that you are working as a digital nomad (employment contract, freelance contract, etc.)
A minimum monthly income of 3,000 USD or an annual income of 36,000 USD
A biometric photo
Citizens of France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Ireland, Denmark, Greece, Croatia, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Bulgaria, Romania, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, United Kingdom, Switzerland, USA, Canada, Russian Federation, Ukraine and Belarus who meet these requirements can get a Digital Nomad Identification Certificate.
The latest official statement of the Ministry of Interior on the subject, which is an excerpt from the correspondence with the Immigration Authorities, is as follows;
Within the scope of the studies carried out in coordination between our Ministries regarding the visa and residence permit procedures of foreigners who will be evaluated as Digital Nomads, it was stated that the Ministry of Culture and Tourism is carrying out the preparation of a website connected to goturkiye.com, which is the official promotion platform of our country, and a preliminary application document has been created for the digital nomad visa, and it is planned to integrate the https://digitalnomads.goturkiye.com/ website installation infrastructure with the digital systems of the Migration Administration. In this context, the requirements for applications from the https://digitalnomads.goturkiye.com/ web address have been specified and applications have started to be received from the same address for those who meet the conditions. In order to facilitate the transition process, it has been announced that foreigners who are currently in our country with a visa/visa exemption/residence permit from the countries accepted for the Digital Nomad visa and residence permit will not be required for the Digital Nomad visa or the preliminary application document issued by our Ministry in their residence permit applications to be made until 01.10.2024.
